About Us

Bailey Park, located at 10271 Wincopin Circle in Columbia, Maryland, is a new addition to the Columbia Lakefront area. Named in honor of WWII veteran and philanthropist Vivian C. "Millie" Bailey, the park was officially opened by the Columbia Association (CA) in a special ceremony attended by community members and local officials.
The park, run by the Howard County Recreation and Parks Department, features a play area for kids and will be a place for the community to gather and grow. With plans to add a "free speech" zone and a monument to honor veterans, Bailey Park is set to become a popular destination in Downtown Columbia.
At the opening ceremony, CA President/CEO Milton W. Matthews praised Ms. Bailey for her service and dedication to the community. County Executive Calvin Ball also spoke, highlighting the importance of remembering the spirit of service embodied by Ms. Bailey.
As Bailey Park becomes a beloved gathering place for residents of Columbia and Howard County, it serves as a tribute to the legacy of Ms. Millie Bailey and all those who have served their country. For more information about Bailey Park and other CA services, contact 410-715-3000 or visit the CA website.
