"Went to get my car inspected. This place said I needed new motor and transmission mounts at a cost of $1,200 in order to pass inspection!! I suspected that wasn’t true since my car had been to the dealership less than 6 months ago and all they recommended was possibly new tires to pass inspection. I found another place that takes walk-ins and had no problem passing inspection. My coworker had a similar experience when having an oil change done. They told him he needed brakes and rotors at a price of $1,200.00. He had recently had his front brakes replaced."
"I was not going to bring public attention to it, and just let it go, however, what happened yesterday has made me change my mind. For the last 7 years I have always ALWAYS taken our cars to Mr. Tire. We have had them do oil changes, tires, brakes, and whatever else decided to "break" at the time. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at that location. All I have asked in return for was honesty and dependable work done to my car. I would always ask them, "hey do you see anything unsafe? OR anything that really needs me to be at to get done here real soon?" and they would always reply with, "eh, not really just keep up with your maintenance." OF course, after they hand me a 1400$ mechanic bill............ Over the last year and a half, that location has gone downhill with the reputable service quality and the attitude of the workers along with honesty from them. I recently caught them in a lie about my suspension system and then got it looked at by two other garages to double check that I was in fact correct. They not only LIED about what was actually wrong with the car, but then they tried to quadruple charge me on labor cost for the job as well. A job that should cost about 700$, they tried to charge me $2300. When I asked for the invoice, the guy got nervous and that's when I knew I really needed to be looking at it and asking questions. BUT to be honest, this experience was just the tip of the iceberg. Yesterday, I experienced the most horrific time coming home from work. My car made the most terrible noise I have ever heard a car make ever!! Then it literally just died..... So I called a tow truck and had it towed to a garage that I was going to have look over my car this Wednesday anyways... so.. I was already in their system anyhow. The people at this new garage was so nice and were patient with me because I am sure they could see I was really shaken up. They literally called me back with in 2 hours with what was wrong with my car..... and that is when I got angry. Not at this new garage, but at MR TIRES because this is when I knew they have been lying the whole time and NEVER ONCE took my concerns to heart and actually looked at it. ALL 3 of my motor mounts need replaced, which tells me, that they probably didn't all go at one time, this has been happening over time, SO if you work on my car, and inspect my car EVERY SINGLE YEAR how you not noticed that my MOTOR was wiggling around under my hood????!!!!!!!! You noticed that my gasket needed replaced and that I needed all new 4 tires in February, which I paid $1400 for. BUT you couldn't tell me that my motor was sliding all around...... Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't even be writing this, but I am slightly enraged, and the lying isn't even the major reason why. I mean at this point in the world, there are more lies than there are truths... What set me off, was the fact that these ppl KNOW I drive a dangerous highway (I-81) every day to and from work. There are accidents on this road literally every day. There are a lot of fatal accidents because a lot of tractor trailers are on this highway. Speed limit is 70, but you better be hitting 80 on the on ramp or else you aren't getting on. SO, could you imagine, me getting on this highway yesterday, doing 75mph, and all of a sudden, my car cut off.... with tractor trailers behind me also doing 75-80 mph????!!!!!! That would have been devastating!!!!!!!! That could have caused so many injuries and possible deaths... That is why I am pissed...... and WHY we will NEVER go back to that garage....."
"Pricing upfront, pretty quick, and good conversation! The manager even took me out to show me an additional concern, but gave me the option to address it then or on my own time! Of course I went back a few weeks later to address it with them, and it was smooth sailing (or I guess driving) from then on!"
"Tire had a bolt in it, Andrew L. Looked at it and quickly assessed that it could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. Jake and Andrew explained why it couldn't be fixed and was able to fit me in the next day with a new tire. While I was there the computer system was having issues and Andrew showed excellent customer service skills by continuing to be pleasant and interacting with me, although he was faced with a stressful situation, he kept a pleasant attitude. Most of my interaction was with Andrew and he provided top notch customer service and was fast and very friendly and easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and makes sure customer satisfaction is his top priority! All the guys at the Wayne Ave Location are great and really take care of you!! I will definitely be back and recommend them to anyone needing stuff done!! Thanks guys!! You guys are wonderful!"
"While the service i received while there was excellent, my overall experience wasn't the greatest. When scheduling my appointment earlier in the week, I ordered a specific set of tires and added a state inspection. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told they didn't have the tires I ordered, forcing me to purchase a more expensive set, or schedule a future appointment when the tires I wanted came in. Also I was informed that they do not employ an inspection technician, so I would have to go elsewhere for that. A courtesy call earlier in the week before my appointment would've been appreciated letting me know these circumstances. The manager did assist me with the purchase of a different set of tires and tossed in a free roadhazard warranty. I was lucky enough to be able to afford the extra $250 above quoted price for the tires I ended up purchasing. Some people don't have that luxury."
