Rockaway Pizzeria 1949 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131

"First off I got to revise my review after being told what happened after I ordered a Pepperoni Pie and a Cheese Pie. My revision could not wait until tomorrow. I make my order, place it, go to pick it up, take it home. I get home, open up my Pepperoni, nice char on the bottom just like NY cuz I been there and have eaten at quite a few pizza joints while I was at my stay up there. Open up the Cheese, the entire bottom was BLACK. Not charred, as I've just said I know what that looks like. I call up the store, voice my complaint, the manager says "Yeah just bring it back up and we'll fire a new one for you. Sorry about that." Cool, right? I'm disappointed that it needed to be taken back but I was at least cool with him making it right. I send my family member instead because I had some other business to attend to in the meantime. She comes back and commences to tell me the men in the kitchen are really over there talking amongst themselves saying, "it's supposed to look like that" and then, walks over to my family member and says, "Yeah it's supposed to look like that. You gotta ask for light if you want it light." Then they hand her the pizza. Who does that?? How do you burn a pizza, own up to it with me on the phone, I send someone down to pick it up and you give them grief? That was THEIR PIZZA that I PAID for. I even tipped!! First time, and my last time. That pizza that was literally black I could have held it upright and it would have not bent an inch. I will not make the mistake of ever leaving a pizza shop again without checking before I leave. I didn't think in a million years I'd have an experience like this with all the glowing reviews this place has. The ONLY reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because the order was made right, the attitude and talking down to someone is literally disgusting, which leaves me at 2."

"I am obsessed with pizza and I have had all the top pizzas in the Pittsburgh area and Rockaway is a top 4 pizza for me. Rockaway, Driftwood Oven, Pizza Lupo, and Mediterra Cafe. The crust on the Carcosa is one of the best pizzas of all time. I wish they let you put whatever toppings on it rather than just pepperoni, but it is still one of the best pizzas ever even though pepperoni isn't my favorite topping."

"Checked this place out last week before the dinner rush. Lots of parking. Rustic inside, typical pizza joint atmosphere. We got two pizzas the vodka margarita and the ricotta honey. They were delicious. The crust was crispy and everything just tasted so fresh. Definitely will be back to try more!"
