"Terrible business!! No wonder big box stores are failing! Returned a $169 coat I bought 3 days ago. Could locate the receipt so I thought they would just put it back on my credit card. They said no receipt, you get the lowest paid price someone has paid. Okay, i need to get this done so, I lose $35. Then they tell me I can only get a store credit. So they stick me for $35 and still won't give me my money back even though they can see I just bought it on my credit card!!! Furious!! Never again and I'm going to bash them every chance I get!"
"This is specifically about bikes. I really can’t speak on the rest of it. The employees were nice, so this isn’t an attempt to talk poorly of them, either. I’d gotten a bike for my partner who hadn’t had a chance to learn yet. Because it was a busy day we picked it up a bit later in the day but it was pre-assembled. We go to ride it later that week, and it acts extremely strangely I’ve ridden bikes since I was a kid, and I nearly fell off of it every time I got on. The chain would both catch on itself and unhinge altogether but catch again after a second. It made for a crunchy, wobbly, unpredictable, and dangerous experience. Of course, when I looked it up, there was a policy that I have to get ahold of them within 24 hours. That would have never happened to begin with, and frankly I doubt it would have helped. I took it to a local bike shop and paid to have them look it over and fix it because, despite my best effort, I couldn’t figure out what the issue was. I assumed the derailer was misaligned or something. And I absolutely could not let that disaster be my partner’s first biking experience or I’d never be able to get her back on the trail. I wouldn’t be able to blame her either The local shop I took it to, who is fantastic, pointed out a laundry list of issues with the bike. Most notably, the chain was three lengths too long. That caused it to be far too loose and was the cause of a lot of our issues. How does that happen? On top of that the derailers were misaligned, the brakes were set wrong, the handlebars were too loose, etc. It’s genuinely alarming how much was set in a way that could have either caused an injury to me / my partner or potentially damaged the bike down the road (trail) I don’t know if it’s a training issue within the company as a whole or a lack of care from whoever had done put it together in this store, but the assembly work was incredibly shoddy. To be clear I’m not even mad at the person who put it together - I’m sure they don’t get paid enough to be motivated to become a bike expert or anything. I guess I bought into the talk on the website and was hopeful the assembly would be closer to “pretty alright” than “actively dangerous.” It’s Dick’s responsibility to make sure the folks that are set to do that are able to well, and that doesn’t seem to be the case unfortunately The bike itself is nice, but I would strongly suggest not having it put together here if this is an indication on how it usually is"
"Tryed to get help with football cleats. Stood there in the cleats section waiting for about 15 minutes on one of the 2 employees that was having a conversation to get done. Another family showed up. And they went above and beyond to help them. So after both employees helped the One family. I had to have my son flag one down to come assist us. Asked for a 12 and when he brought it back to us he just dipped out. Like we didn't need anything els from him or nothing. Just thought it was weird how they went above and beyond to help the one family and when it was me just get treated like straight garbage. But hey thanks for the Football cleats!!!"
"Please make sure you check the price you are charged at checkout. This store lists a lower price or a sales price on end cap display, then charges full price at checkout. Cashier asked for help for someone to assist in checking price with no response from Dick’s associates. This was 11:45am relatively empty store. I left to purchase from a competitor. Thanks"
"The crazy prices are to be expected here but the Cluttered, unnavigable isles, are below par. Could not cross any isles the length of the store & even weaving between the clothes within sections was impossible. Try any other retail store & you will find better organization and space. Don’t go here with kids or a stroller."
