"We purchased carpet from Lowe's and were very excited about it. After waiting a few weeks for installation, The third-party company that came to install, installed the WRONG Color carpet. We had to file a claim, send pictures, make a lot of phone calls. It has been 8+ weeks And we are still waiting for our correct color, carpet to be delivered. Still waiting for the installers to call us for a new date. The Washington Lowes manager has not been helpful in any way. I've contacted customer support and corporate. Initially, after it was installed incorrectly, they offered 10% off and said that they cannot Do anymore if a discount. Keep in mind I am pregnant. This has caused me nothing but stress, we have had to delay our couch delivery multiple times, cannot build a nursery or a crib because what's the point? We would have to take it down in order for them to install the correct color carpet. no one seems to be in a rush to correct the mistake. Beware. Run far far away. Do not order any carpet or flooring from Lowe's. We will never again use them in the future. After looking up reviews, not thinking, anything would happen to us like this. We should have known better."
"I’m disappointed how my return was denied. I was over the 90 days, which I understand, and was asked to call corporate to see if they could do anything. Corporate said a store could offer store credit. Very little effort was make anything happen and I was denied a store credit. Bummed at the whole experience."
"The absolute WORST experience as a consumer in my entire life. If you are going to buy ANYTHING from Lowes, I'd say to just take your business elsewhere and save yourself a headache. I'm going to go into detail about why you should never buy an appliance from this company, hopefully it helps influence your decision. I know it's long but if you're on the fence about the Lowes in Washington, it's worth the read. My girlfriend and I needed to buy a new washer & dryer so after we shopped around we decided on Lowes. At first they were helpful and completely pleasant to buy from. Nearly $2,000 later we made our purchase and left the story satisfied. Then the nightmare began. Our delivery was scheduled for a couple days later and then that day finally came and the delivery crew gave an excuse and said they couldn't install and that we had to reschedule. Odd, but we rescheduled for the next day. The crew came 2 hours later than the time slot they told us but we didn't care because we were excited for it to finally be installed. They carried it inside, starting hooking everything up and everything seemed okay. Right as they went to leave they realized, OUR DRYER DOOR WAS BROKEN! A little piece that let it close was broke off, very tiny but we couldn't use the machine without it. The delivery guys said they didn't want to take out this machine yet because it is a simple fix and that someone should be able to come out soon and fix it. Well that was a lie. We walked into Lowes that same day and they said "it's not our policy to fix something like that, we can only contact the warehouse and have them do a return". That's their policy? That instead of sending a repairman out for an hour to fix a job that they want us to wait another week to install something that they delivered broken! We were shocked that they wouldn't resolve it right there on the spot but we said okay and waited 48 hours for the warehouse to call & schedule an appointment for us. THEY NEVER CALLED!! I called the following day, and they never did say why they failed to call me, but oh well. The warehouse said that their "policy" is that when a customer is exchanging an appliance that they need to have the appliance back in the warehouse & checked out before they can schedule the delivery for a new appliance! Great! We have already been waiting over a week at this point but with how much time we've invested we agreed. This morning Lowes delivery came and picked up the broken washer & dryer that they sold us. The delivery man himself said multiple times how "idiotic" it is that Lowes wouldn't just send someone out to fix the machine. And how much time and money it would have saved them. He told me to expect a call later to set up the installation of our new washer & dryer and I told him thanks. Here's the crazy part of this whole experience. I don't get a call til 7:30PM and the man on the phone says "I accidentally refunded you for your purchase so if you want a new washer & dryer you have to go into the store and purchase a new one and set up the delivery that way", and HANGS UP ON ME BEFORE I CAN EVEN REPLY BASICALLY! We went into the store tonight to have a conversation with the manager and to try to get this entire thing figured out. We just wanted a washer & dryer. The manager listened to my entire story for a couple minutes and then looked at me with a blank face, he processed NOTHING that I said somehow.. He told me that they wouldn't offer compensation on a new washer & dryer despite our awful experience. You'd think he'd say "sorry you guys have had a terrible time trying to buy from us, well knock a couple hundred off your $2,000 PURCHASE to let you know we value you as a customer!" That's not how you do business. The Lowes policies are awful. The delivery teams are awful. And most of all the Washington employees are awful, unhelpful and didn't even mutter the word "sorry" out of their mouths a single time. Oh and the manager with the earring sucks."
"Paid for and received 8 items today. Of the 8 items, the GE item was not fully assembled before the third party delivery and installation contractor left the premises. And the Whirlpool item was not installed due to a corroded cold water faucet-to-hose connection. Used WD-40 several times on it....no go. Now using WD-40 on it overnight to see if that loosens it up. Quite a fiasco today with taken the front door off, taking the bottom freezer door off, reassembled them and hastily putting GE back together, but the Lowes team forgot to install the GE door interior shelfs. Now I need to call a plumber to get the Whirlpool connected and instal a filtered water line for the new GE. Need to be a mechanical engineer nowadays just to get new appliances into the house, around the corners and into operating condition. We still gave the two Spanish speaking workers a $20 tip and some of our fresh lemonade tea. Luckily my wife speaks good 1st level Spanish still as well."
"Back in January I purchased cabinets to be installed by Lowe’s in Washington, Pa. It has been a disaster since. They tried to deliver the cabinets without my knowledge and the contractor wasn’t ready to install (and 1 cabinet was still back ordered). Then finally last week they finally coordinate with the contractor abc have the cabinets delivered and the contractor was able to start the work the next day. There were still pieces missing, one came in damaged and the counter top was not cut for the new sink. This was all figured out after the contractor ripped the existing cabinets and counter were ripped out. Now, cabinets are lost or back ordered and my tenant is living with no counter tops and his sink on 2x4s and Lowe’s is no where to be found for a resolution and the contractor is out of town next week. You can’t get anyone on the phone so I actually went yesterday to talk to the store manager, Cheryl, and she said she would get back to me. Still nothing. I’m trying to call the store. No one answers and then when they answer, they don’t say anything and then put me right on hold. So unprofessional, customer service is horrible and no urgency with this at all. I will post pictures if Google allows. My tenant is living with a ripped out kitchen with a disabled child. Come on Lowe’s. Follow through!!! Update: this job that was started back in April is still not complete!!! I went all the way up to an executive rep that reports the the CEO. I added pictures of their “finished” work. I now have to go and hire my own contractor to clean up Lowe’s mess. And regarding mess, the contractor left parts of old cabinets and wood scraps for us to clean up. DO NOT EVER ORDER CABINETS FROM LOWES!!!"
