Rivtin's Shoe Repair

"This is a one man shop. The owner is super nice. I didn't know this but Rivtin's is one of 6 shoe repair shops in the whole state of NH. Of course this means that the owner is very busy. Be very patient if you have to wait awhile for your shoe repair(s) but I promise that you will be very happy with the results. I brought 2 pairs of tall winter leather boots that needed new heel blocks and I was going to toss them both before deciding to see if they could be repaired. Both pairs of boots look brand new and I'm so happy!! I will definitely go back to Rivtin's again!!"

"Dropped off my moms shoes for a heel repair. Was told it would be a couple of days. I came by a week later they were not done was told a couple of days. I came by another week later I was promised would be done on the weekend come in Wednesday and would be ready. Wednesday I walked in and not done so I wanted to take the shoes back with me. He had a hard time finding them as he never put a tag on them to know who or what was going on! He said give me a few hours I will do them. Well I did not trust that at all so I took my shoes and left. The man was rude and stated if I did not call you then they are not ready. I said well if you would answer your phone I would not have to keep coming down here and if you say it will be ready in a couple of days than they should be. Had I known I never would have dropped off and to boot, the shoes are not in the same condition as I left them, it looks as though they were shoved into a space and bent in half as there is a permanent crease on both shoes. Thanks for nothing! I would not recommend at all!"

"Dropped off two pairs of ladies shoes for repair in May. They said would be done in 1 month and would call. Never called. When we called them- no answer or mail box full. We went back four different times between June and November and they couldn’t find them, said they would call, never did, and were very rude. This past time we sat in the shop until they found them. They were not done, no apology, still rude. We “rescued” then from this terrible business and will find someplace else. I’ve read other reviews of similar nature recently."

"I’m really sorry the new owner is having such a hard time. I believe he is a relative of the previous owner. I dropped my husbands sandals off in June and have tried to get in touch with him. No one ever answers the phone and there is no answering machine to leave a message. About a month ago, I stopped by and the owner assured me I would have my husbands sandals for our October vacation. It seems he hasn’t been in since then and now there is a sign on the door that the property is being sold. I understand tough times and truly empathize with this owner. I just want my husbands sandals back!"

"This shoe repair store has been an epic fail. Boots were left October of 2022 I have been contacting them by phone as well as returning in person now 3 times since July 2023 to September . Everytime they stated they could not find my shoes and hod not started on them. I stated when you do find them DO NOT start repairing them. Im not happy to wait this long and ill take my buisness elsewhere. Today another attempt in person. While the shop keeper was looking I found them up on a half wall. When I took them down I saw they had indeed started them to spite me just enough to no longer be able to wear them! Unbelievable the worst part is there was no accountability or apology for their their Service and then partial dismantle of one shoe."
