"Kellerhaus sells souvenirs and gifty things, they make great ice cream, but their claim to fame is their chocolate. Made “in haus” by their friendly and talented workers, their chocolates are world-class; I think it has a relatively high cocoa butter content and it makes a huge difference. They have a staffed candy counter where you can pick out caramels, jellies, nut or raisin clusters, and many more varieties enrobed in either dark or milk chocolate. They also have a separate sugar-free counter and huge truffle selection. The “candy room” also offers many non-chocolate treats and features a fascinating colony of live honeybees (they have free access to the out-of-doors) you can watch through glass. We always make a point of stopping by the Kellerhaus whenever we are in the area - sometimes we even make a special trip just to go there. They also have mail order and I’ve taken advantage of that to send Christmas and Easter treats to relatives. Highly recommend."
