"Did a tour of the apartments here. The entire experience dealing with SummitPMG was awful, which likely reflects the experience you'd get living here. 1. There's a seemingly arbitrary waitlist. I joined it in 2020. I'd get different responses on where I was at in the waitlist, and was randomly "put at the bottom of the list" for not signing up for an apartment I toured. 2. In 2020 I was charged an application fee, which is illegal in the state of Vermont. That's sketchy. 3. In 2020 I was quoted $1800 for a 2br. In 2023 I was quoted $2700. That extra $10800/yr they get feels like robbery to live in Burlington Vermont. 4. These are advertised as premium apartments (literally on their sign). Instead, it's the pig with lipstick treatment. Where does the $10.8k extra go? Certainly not into the apartments, or hiring and retaining their staff. - While you have a lake view in some, and the size was decent, that's about the only positives. - The walls were thin. - The shared hallways smelt terrible, had stained carpet, and gave the appearance of not being maintained. - The apartment we toured had cheap flooring (that fake wood stuff), well used carpets (they'd make you pay to replace), and mediocre appliances (wire electric stoves is a great sign of cheaping out). It all felt cheap, not worth the $2700 they'd want to charge you. 5. Communication was incredibly disorganized. The folks giving me the tour also never have been to the building. They seem to have frequent turnover. But aside from that, they were professional and nice given the circumstances. Avoid!"
