"A total value. I can’t believe people are complaining about this place. Yes, it has creaky stairs and a shared bathroom but it’s clean and very reasonably priced. People are such complainers . Go spend $150 for a hotel in Burlington ,Karen. This is a guesthouse. Nice kitchen, comfy bed, clean room."
"Terrible, terrible, terrible!... DO NOT BOOK!! Old, dirty, unkempt ( we had several fresh dumps of dog excrement at our verandah door plus a bag of smelly rubbish!). This was our only exit and fresh air access as window sealed! Noisey++ until 3-4am from other guests and neighbours... bathroom really awful, needs a proper deep cleanse, bedroom tiny without suitable furniture (bed linen was clean but I didn't dare look at the undersheet nor the mattress!). No insulation, no privacy, no air circulation so we got free 'weed' fumes which should have helped us relax, perhaps? This premise should not be offered for any, let alone high dollar price, accommodation! Airbnb should NOT endorse. Property needs demolishing or gutting and refurbishment. Shame on owners for exploiting travellers! Mrs. Tassie"
"We left before checking in. The ad was misleading and made it sound like a quaint historic place to stay. The area was run down with graffiti on the buildings and some of the homes around it. There were spider webs on the air vent in the ceiling on the second floor."
"It’s really, really basic. For sure an old house because it was so loud and creaky. Thin walls. The bed was comfortable enough and they provided enough towels and blankets as needed. The owners are very responsive and the bathrooms were cleaner than I expected. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this is a great and affordable choice."
"This place was clean enough but very much a hostel. It is clearly not lived in and the 'repairs' are the cheapest way possible it seems. Little is done to improve/up keep this house. For example, the mini blinds were broken as was the handle to open the window. The "extra blanket" was actually the only blanket as there was only a sheet on the bed to begin with. The bathroom has some supplies but is bare bones, like the sink is kind of nasty around the edges and the hole is just open to the drain, no cover or anything. So nothing major wrong but definitely not fancy or inviting. All the lowest end (cheapest) ikea furniture. Great area and easy walkable location though. A little loud at night if you need to open the window (which you will if you don't want to be cooked by the pumping heat)."
