"We stayed for a short family vacation nearby and we visited this farm. Our daughter is a rider, so we were curious to see another place. The farm is very nice and clean, well-maintained. The horses seem to receive great care, and they look pretty happy there. It was a great pleasure to visit this farm and meet the owner and his family, they really love what they are doing, and I wish them all the best!"
"We have been with Tom at Green Mountain Stables for a year now. Charlie has never been happier! He has been in several stables over the years and this is by far the cleanest, friendliest, best kept of all. Thanks to Tom and the gang..keep up the great work!"
"It Has Been Welcoming, And Enjoying it. It Has Been A Great Experience. Horse care is very impressive and it is evident they are well experienced, you can tell their horses are very healthy and well cared for. employees and volunteers are treated kindly as well as their boarders and anyone else they may encounter. Green Mountain Stables Would Definitely Be My Top recommendation for a Clean, Safe, Caring Equine Facility For Your Horse."
"This barn is looks good, but the hose care is less than good. They have a lot to learn about proper horse care. My horse foundered there at the same time as one other horse. Luckily my horse lived, yet even though my horse was taken off grain due to the founder the horse trainer at this facility decided to give my horse grain without consulting me first. My horse had been off grain for months, she coliced and had diarrhea severely as a result. I was told on several occasions that my horse had normal manure, yet when I would go up there it never was, my vet confirmed that it was not normal and diagnosed my horse with hindgut ulcers. My horse was supposed to be taken off a med she was on and put on ulcer meds. They gave her the pills for the ulcer but did not stop the med that was supposed to be stopped. They also did not give her the supplements sand guard that was prescribed for her in the morning. I went up and the day she was to run out she had half the bag left and I was missing pills from the med that should have been stopped. Needles to say my horse is at a different facility and now doing very well."
"What a great place for family an fun!!! If you are considering riding lessons or are in need of boarding you will not be disappointed. Emily, Bridget and Tom are great to work with and very accommodating."
