"Dhruv is the purported "owner". But it's a badly run shell game. Like if they made a comedic mafia movie. These guys are clowns and they're going to be paying out large settlements. I warned the little boy who purportedly runs the Cortina with a Hindi proverb from his own culture. Those who live in the water shouldn't tempt the crocodile. He lives in a swamp and is absolutely surrounded by crocs. Both at work and at home. He needs an armed guard for protection but assumes his painted on t shirts will protect him. Arrogant, entitled children shouldn't run a business like this. He's roughly 30 and ain't gonna make it past 32 if he keeps acting like little b boy around seasoned genx adults. We invented FAFO. Little b boy bout to find out"
"The owner made himself a room key to my room and tried to let himself in twice. When I caught him, he showed a great deal of anger. The second time he attempted, I had the top lock locked also, but he still had the door open four inches. Be very cautious and guard your belongings if you must stay here. I have lived here for five months due to homelessness, and they have given me clean sheets three times, never a clean blanket, and I received only clean washcloths in five months! No clean towels at all. Bring your necessities because you will get none here."
"Looks like the beginnings of a junkyard and not a hotel parking lot. Vehicles clearly broke down with flat tires and smashed windows a camper overflowing with garbage baby car seats a basketball hoop you name it they have it if it's garbage related."
"This is one of the scariest places you could visit in Rutland, and not at all what any visitor to Vermont would expect it to look like anywhere in this beautiful state. The Cortina Inn has turned into permanent housing for junkies, courtesy of the Vermont tax payers, all while they are still trying to run the place as a hotel and renting rooms to tourists. The parking lot is filled with trash, trailers, and tires. At least a dozen cars in the lot have slashed tires and have been sitting there for months. There are drug addicts walking all over the place, syringes on the ground, cigarette butts, and dog feces all over the place, including right beside the main entry door. Oh, and there are indeed people living in the broken down campers in their parking lot also. Stay away from this place!"
"Well for the price of the room I didn't mind staying in a place with otherwise homeless population ( some of them were really cool) but when they're drunk, disorderly and threatening I can say 10/10 do not recommend bringing pets or children or anyone you care about. The staff was incredibly kind but dismissive of what is clearly an issue , alas I decided staying in my room would be best. Room was pretty nice, huge comfortable bed and clean . Pools closed, but if you really need a place in a pinch for a good price, there's much worse options. The reception guy being so chill is why I stayed instead of getting a refund so , keep an open mind and just avoid the regular residents ."
