"I have visited the place three times before for other issues. I call to make an appointment for a new issue and they expect me to wait 5 months to see someone. Their opinion is that because I have a new issue, I should be considered a “new patient”. Just more absurdity of that medical mafia called UVM. Well, screw you UVM, going to Dartmouth instead. Try pay doctors better, at market value, so you will stop being chronically understaffed. Worst medical organization ever, feels like being in Russia rather than in the US"
"10 minutes late driving from barre and you wouldn't see my husband. So many years (over ten years) of dealing with pain and he finally breaks down to see a doctor and gets turned away. Pretty bad when he'd rather deal with disk degenerative disease ciatic nerve and what 3 bulged disks arthritis then go back to see some one who dosent care."
"It's time for me to get fresh eyes on my spine problems. I've had good experiences in the past that I am grateful for. My last few visits have been disappointing. Harsh, impatient, not listening, not sharing information while looking at images, Dr. pushed down on one stiff hip with such force that I had to push his hand off. Now that's become an issue!....Spine / Trauma. Office staff are wonderful and caring."
"They are super organized with the way they run things here from top to bottom. And it shows. I’ve been here just a handful of times, in the Pediatric Dept - but it’s gone the same way each visit. Check in clearly, head to your Dept, never waited longer than a minute anywhere - despite th being busy and having lines. The Dr we’ve been seeing was intelligent and more importantly, interested in helping get to the root of a re-occurring injury. This required a walking cast and we were sent down to that Dept and well-fitted and out the door quickly. We also started seeing an in-house DPT during the Stay at Home Order time over Zoom, and while not as great as in-person, she is gifted, personable and knowledgeable and has been a great addition to rehabbing while at home! Highly recommended if you’re in need."
"I went to University of Vermont ( now Fletcher-Allen?) I never had surgery before. I needed to have both knees joints replaced..i was " bone on bone". Dr Halsey is the best surgeon ever. He is very compassionit and caring. He and Tammi his nurse were with me every step of the way. I came to the University of Vermont from Long Island where a patient centered approach does NOT exist. A couple of years later Dr Halsey replaced my left hip..I would do it again in a heartbeat . It was " a piece of cake" Plus, Dr Halsey is easy on the eyes....."
