"Nice area, close to everything in town. The man at the front desk was really nice and really helpful. However, the hotel is extremely outdated and is in need of some deep cleaning. The vent looks like hasn't been cleaned in years. There's about a 5 inch depth in dust in this thing. It's concerning. And for the price you pay a night. Dont get me started....Wish I could stay somewhere else but lesson learned."
"For the price and amenities I don’t think it can be beat. The rooms are a bit outdated (they had a combination vhs/dvd player to give you an idea) but for us it didn’t really matter as we were predominately skiing. The rooms were clean and spacious. We rented a suite and both the bed and pull out mattress were comfortable. Will definitely consider going back next time we’re in the area!"
"Let me start out by saying it was on my Bucket list to come to Vermont from Florida. I want to start out by saying this resort intentionally mislead us along with everyone and all guest who have stayed in this resort for the past year. Advertising clearly has photos of a restaurant and spa along with other amenities. Made reservations weeks in advance a few days before arrival we receive a e- mail informing us the spa and dining is down and will update us every 7 days knowly the old closed mold infested restaurant been closed for approximately one year. There even were photos all over the resort including inside their own elevator wth mouth watering meals that do not exist. Found prior to arrival because of my own dilligence that the resort over charged me by $650 for our brief stay. Once we checked into the resort found out that there wasn't room service and was originally declined clean towels when we called the front desk. No clean sheets during your entire stay. They change bed sheets prior to your stay and garbage cans full of trash. The so call continental breakfast consists of store bought cheap plastic wrapped pastries. Microwave next to breakfast full of years old stuck on food infested with baterica. So our choices are left to walk in the snow down the road to eat all meals. I would say Never come to this resort. The town is beautiful and so many more lovely places to choose from."
"Had a spa date booked three months in advance for new years weekend. The spa changed our appointment's on us the day before, just so we had no time to find somewhere else to go. Sugarbush spa ended up having space for us and it was a wonderful experience, so we felt we got a better deal anyway. Read the reviews before you book."
"Worst spa experience for my husband and I. We have had several treatments across VT and ADK region. We were put into a room that we weren’t aware was communal to wait for our treatment. The entire facility is way overdue for an update. My husband and I were getting ready after our treatments and they brought another guest (female) to get ready for her treatment and this space is about the size of a single bed hotel room with no lockers or separate bath areas. This space had no towels, no toiletries, etc. During my facial, therapist didn’t wash her hands, table wasn’t warm until I requested, and did not discuss my skin or goals wanted to achieve, she just started putting products on my face. She never allowed me to pick my treatment. During my entire treatment, several lights on, kids jumping and running up above us and playing where guests must stay? The therapist offered to turn the music up louder. This experience was not relaxing at all. I kept looking at the clock to see how much longer I had. She did not adjust the table after I requested because it was too far upright. 10 minutes into my treatment my skin was burning and I notified the therapist she offered a cold towel & said it would go away. I have never left a treatment looking or feeling like this the burning did not go away. Several aspects of a facial that I usually get at other places never happened here. My husband and I are not complainers, we just felt like this experience was not something we should have to pay for. We were respectful with our feedback and concerns. They only offered to take 15 percent off gratuity. The last management person we spoke with was extremely rude, no apologies, and banned us from returning to the Stoweflake. We are locals and will not be returning nor suggesting to anyone looking to experience the Stoweflake and what it lacks to offer."
