"Local gem that is guarded like a secret by locals (only reason for the -1 star). Traditional butcher with hard to find products and excellent cob-smoked meats. Far superior to other local butchers in regards to variety and selection. Great prices on "cheap cuts" (bacon ends, marrow bones), but also carry quality high-end cuts. Worth the trip! "The worlds best bacon. The cob smoke bacon is so good the smoke smell makes me want to eat it raw literally it's just so damn good. The best place for any fresh meats steak hamburger lamb ect. You will not be disappointed with the quality but you won't want any supermarket meats after having anything from the wallingford locker as the difference is night and day. I bought 3 lbs of the cob smoke bacon on my last trip and it didn't even last 2 days it's so good it's addictive and it's not loaded with preservatives and chemicals like the grocery store bacon is. I had to update my review because I feel that I haven't given enough credit where it's due. The best ever"

"Seriously. This place has the best bacon in the world! It has totally ruined me for all other bacon. I give it away to my siblings as a Christmas gift each year. (That's why they all like me the best!) The Wallingford Locker also has some of the best ham I have ever had the good fortune to put in my mouth. It's incredible. Easter just isn't the same without it. And the good folks who work here are just super. I know it might be the ham talking now but, I absolutely love them."
