"Tried X country skiing for the first time, and about 50 yards from the start, the front of my boot ripped right off. I walked back in, and showed the staff member, who basically blamed me, and then gave me a size too big of boots, because he "couldn't risk me destroying his only other pair of size 9's" He then gave me a size too big of (also ripped) boots - good thing I caught this before we left again. While he didn't charge me for the boots, he did make me feel like I wasn't a paying customer. Considering it was my first time, and the boots failed so quickly - I think it is fair to assume they were mostly compromised when I put them on. Regardless, beautiful surroundings, well-groomed trails. Wish my experience was better - as it looks as if many others have."
"Ole's is fantastic! Such friendly staff and really nice trails. #5 is especially beautiful as it winds through the wood. Our only issue as first time visitors was that it's not clear from the map which trails are classic-only. So if you are skate-skiing make sure to ask them. Grooming for skate was really good although a little narrow in some places. We went 3 days in a row. Definitely highly recommend!"
"Gorgeous place, with broad fields and sweeping mountain vistas. Friendly staff. Impeccably-groomed trails. Good mix of flats and gentle hills; enough to challenge this out-of-training skier but not enough to make me fear for my life. Wish the trail markings were a little clearer, but I'd much rather the trails themselves be clear, which they most certainly are."
"Really great grooming. Great views of Sugarbush. Worth stopping in if you needed a break from downhill or just want to enjoy the countryside. They have the rentals. Only thing we'd like to see is a cooler of water at our around the 7a/5 trail junction."
