"This was a couple years ago but recently realized I posted it in the wrong place. AND, it certainly deserves to be posted in the right place... So here it is... This place deserves a negative rating... I wouldn't want to be sent here if I got shot 70 times and this was the closest place in 100 miles!!!! I was stabilized and brought it by paramedics for one or two bad seizures and thank the freaking universe that the paramedics stabilized me. When we got there, the medics, placed me in the ER bed, then had to go off and find any ER staff to give them report. I saw a nurse for maybe 2 minutes the entire time I was there, was not on any monitoring equipment, and I don't believe I was given any further treatment at the hospital. The doctor stopped in for a second twice. He was a younger man and actually very nice. They soon placed another man in the same room as me, just separated by curtains. At this point, the room only has one bed. I sat in the chair, the guy sat in the bed. There was absolutely zero attempts made at confidentiality because I could tell you the guys name, date of birth, why he was there, and his diagnosis (high blood sugar and diabetic ketoacidoses... after a couple hours I just asked if I could leave. I found myself a ride, well because they sure as hell wouldn't be helping me with that, and they went to "get my discharge papers" and 25 minutes later, no one returned. I waited at the nurses station for another 20 minutes and there was NO ONE there. There was some staff that walked by and looked at me and I told them what I was waiting for, and they did nothing. Eventually I just walked out and no one even noticed that I had left"
"sent my mother home with a severe pulmonary embolism even though she was still struggling to breathe. went to manchester and they said she shouldve NEVER been let out of a hospital, and they're giving her different treatment now."
"Went to the ER last Saturday morning, I was taken right into a room. Within 40 minutes I had a CT and was told I needed to be admitted. Unfortunately, there were no open beds on the floors so I spent the night in the ER until a bed opened up at about 1pm Sunday. The care I received from the ER staff, physicians in both the ER and on the floor was amazing. On the day of my discharge I tried to order strawberry jello and it wasn’t set yet. The kitchen staff brought it to me when it was set. I can’t say enough good things about my experience there."
"I try to avoid hospitals at all costs, but an emergency appendectomy is one of those situations where they can't be avoided. I'm so so SOOOOO grateful for everyone at Lakes Region Hospital! Literally everyone is so friendly and compassionate. Even the janitorial staff! The ER staff, the OR staff, and my recovery team were all FANTASTIC. I wish I could name them all and give them proper credit. I'm forever grateful for how quickly and efficiently I was cared for. And they didn't have to be funny and upbeat to do a job well done, but they were anyway. That just made the experience all the better. Thank you!"
"Do not waste your time here, my husband went to the ER at 10:30 pm, it is now 12:57am and they have refused him service. The lady at the desk was rude the whole way through and ignored his pleas for help. First it was because they didn't accept Medicaid (which is false because they accepted mine a few months back), then he started bleeding and puking to which they only cleaned up and never checked on him. It's only him and one other patient in the waiting room right now yet they claim to be busy. When he asked for a supervisor they called the police, after the officer looked at the pictures I just posted he sided with my husband, told him to get a lawyer, and said he will be praying for him. Save yourself the extra damage and just go to a different hospital (which is also awful because the closest hospital besides this one is 10 miles away)."
