"Do not go to them- they are a Medicaid and Medicare puppy mill looking for the buck and not servicing the patients’ needs. I have been wearing glasses for over 35 years and the set up was extremely unusual, prior to seeing Dr Sam. I sat in their waiting room for over an hour for my appointment. Prior to seeing Dr Sam, I saw 3 techs. Finally, when I saw Dr Sam for about 5 minutes, which was a minute was he washing his hands, he did not check my prescription to see if it was correct. Though he did do is look at the health of my eyes. Never have I had an optometrist not check the prescription or give me the exam themselves and just look at the health of my eyes. My prescription was incorrect, and I purchased glasses and sunglasses (the sunglasses and lenses cost over $900). Then I stupidly took my fancy frames and had the prescription by Dr Sam’s installed in my expensive glasses frame costing over $900. I cannot see across the living room with the prescription in my expensive frames. Dr Sam’s is not the place to have your eyes checked. Also, Dr Sam himself called to fire me as a client telling me I need to go to Dartmouth-Hitchcock for my eye care needs. I have no health issues with my eyes and require glasses to be able to see which is supposed to be what Dr Sams bread and butter. Avoid this medical practice because they stack up patients for their gain and disregard the patients’ needs."
"Nervous going in to see a new doctor. Turns out that every single person I had contact with was really really terrific. From the receptionist, to the technicians, to the young lady who helped me with choosing my glasses, oh and also Dr Sam, was professional, thorough, helpful and personable and I would highly recommend this practice."
"I needed to come in for a recheck on my newest prescription. I was able to get an appointment quickly and I was seen by one of the staff who performs eye exams. She was friendly, courteous, and thorough. I felt confident in the results. I had the same experience on my first visit there. Can't say enough about their team!"
"What a great experience! The waiting room was full, but I was brought in at my appointment time with no wait, the staff was AMAZING- friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. I would absolutely recommend anyone to go here, and can't wait for my next appointment, that's how great they were!"
"Unfortunately, Dr. Sam's Eye Care waiting room is not really a child friendly environment. If your a parent of small children I am sure you will observe this quickly.. Though, it is actually worth the hassel. They have some of the kindness techs ever. Especially Christine who went a above and beyond to make my child comfortable. She was gentle and explained every step to soothe my daughter's anxiety. The Doctor himself was also helpful and professional. He also suggested community to help offset the insane price of contacts."
