"Mansfield was our first big mountain, had made my homework prior and Sunset in and out looked ideal. (We are beginner hikers btw) My girlfriend was scared halfway because of the high winds, bare rocks, fog and inclines. But she battled on and we made it to the Chin and back in 6 hours including lunch and breaks.(Took us about 4L of water for the both of us.) Layers in October were a must, shell became handy halfway. It was challenging and would not recommend on a wet day for beginners. Even with poor visibility up top, it was very satisfying!"
