"We took the 2-day hospital birth class with Rachel and are so glad we did. She is so kind and her teaching style is very engaging. The content was practical and informative, and every topic was covered thoroughly and openly without judgement. We especially appreciated learning about how support partners can be included throughout the entire process. We're leaving the class feeling empowered, confident, and excited about having a baby. Highly recommend for first time parents!"
"We absolutely would recommend Vermont Birth Journeys to our friends and family. As first-time parents, my husband and I sought out a childbirth class, through Vermont Birth Journeys, to help us prepare for our upcoming birthing experience. Our instructor, Genevieve, was extremely knowledgeable and very thorough in all of the topics that were covered during the workshop. She highlighted what happens during every stage of labor using multiple visuals and models, which we found to be very helpful. We also really appreciated the time that she spent educating birthing partners on different comforting techniques to try with mom during the birthing process, as well as using evidence based information to give guidance (and answer questions) on developing a birth plan. My husband and I left the class feeling confident, empowered and reassured that “we got this”. We will absolutely utilize their services again if we plan to have a second child down the road. Thank you Genevieve and Vermont Birth Journeys!"
"Birth Journeys is great for new parents. I did the 3-day online hospital version and there is a lot of helpful information about what to expect during labor and delivery and how to manage it. And also what to expect your experience to be like at the hospital. It’s like a peek into the unknown, and some of the things you might be too embarrassed to ask or talk about are covered. Like what might happen with your body, as well as different birthing options. Which I think is great. I think there is also good information for the spouses to think about and whether they choose to use that information or not. It gives a better idea of what the whole birth journey is all about, and I’m glad I took the class. I would definitely recommend this to all new parents."
"My husband and I had such a great weekend with Genie from VT Birth Journey's. We came out the weekend feeling better prepared and excited for birth. Genie brings so much energy and knowledge to the class. She made it fun and kept it REAL. She created a space that welcomed any and all questions. The weekend was well worth it! I highly recommend her class if you are an expecting parent!"
"My husband and I loved our experience with Birth Journeys! Genie was a great educator. She was thorough and presented information in a fun, engaging way. She had a wonderful attitude and made us feel really comfortable throughout class. I feel so much more at ease with the birthing process now! Also- Genies prenatal massages are fantastic (you get a discount if you attend the class :)!) I highly recommend her. She has helped relieve various aches and pains that come along with pregnancy in a safe, comfortable, environment. All in all- wonderful experience. Thank you Birth Journeys!"
