"Super shop. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Good selection of bikes and parts."
"BEWARE! Don’t even think about going to this shop. I was charged $270 just for drilling a hole in my bike’s headspacers, and at the end of the day they couldn’t even get my bike built. Brendan, was not helpful at all, terrible service!!!!! _______________________________________________________________ I am glad that Brendan read my review, this in turns allows me to shed some more light to the case. It is true that I brought my Colnago V3RS frame on a Friday afternoon, but Brendan left out the part that the frame was almost fully routed; and the cassette, disc brakes and tires already installed on the rims. The handlebar itself is not an aftermarket product like Brendan states in his unfortunate response, but rather a Deda Alanera one piece carbon handlebar made specifically for Colnago and that frame in particular. I will also like to add that I was quoted 4-5 hours for the complete build, and later I was called that the frame had to be altered in order to fit the groupset. What astonished me was that after I declined to have my carbon frame drilled, and after driving more than an hour to pick it up on a Saturday morning, I realized that the frame was barely worked at, only having drilled holes in the handlebar spacers as I said. I would have thought that that 3 hours at $90 per hour would have provided for at least the shifters, front derailleur, rear derailleur to be installed to the frame, but none of that was done, as I said Brendan only drilled a hole to the handlebar spacers, which apparently took him the better part of 3 hours. The rest of the bike was left untouched. A competent mechanic would have realized right away that the front derailleur cable had to be modified to fit the frame, cable routing is the first thing you do in a frame build. But again, to figure that out it took Drummond Cycles' team 3 hours ($270) after which part the frame was almost exactly the same as I had left it. None-withstanding all this, the most disrespectful part of it all was that as I entered the shop on that Saturday morning, I found Brendan laughing with the shop crew about how he was going to charge me $270 for the easy work he had done. To quote Brendan, whom conveniently left this part out of his response, it was "music to his ears" that I was going to pick up both the bike and the steep bill for hardly any work done. I hope that nobody falls for this shops tricks, as overcharging customers apparently is their nature. Safe to say I will never be returning to that place!"
"Great shop with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They even brewed me a fresh coffee knowing I had a lengthy drive back home. Looking forward to enjoying the new Scott HT. Thanks!"
"I was trying to restore a 25-year-old steel Stumpjumper, and needed to replace the front suspension. Most bike shops I contacted had no idea where to start. Drummond found a new suspension that fit the bike, and that actually rode well with the older geometry. They also swapped out the brake for a newer model from the same brand. And they did this for a very reasonable price. The bike now rides better than it did when it was brand new, and it's great fun on the local flow trail. I was very happy with their professional work, their reasonable prices, and their ability to get the most out of a particular bike. If I ever need someone to custom-fit a bike, they'll be my first choice."
"I brought my BMC in for carbon repair all the way from Boston to find the most well equipped small bike shop. They have everything you need for sale and only sell high quality products that meet their standards. My bike was repaired very quickly and came out looking great for a very fair price. The owner is extremely knowledgable and has created a fantastic biking community around his shop. Even with the 2 hour drive, I will be back!"
