"The store in Vergennes vt has gone to hell very poor customer service they stand around and watch u bag your groceries and the prices are thru the roof they completely suck I no longer will step foot in that store I now prefer Hannaford in middlebury they bag your stuff with a smile and are very helpful Shaws it's aweful"
"The worst shaws ever . I cant stand shaws to begin with high prices and just the worst supermarkets i rather go to Hannaford were its cheaper and customer service going through checkout is much nicer and the worker's and much more welling to talk with you ."
"This is my home towns only "true" grocery store. And I HATE THIS SHAWS! Some of the staff are friendly and helpful! But the majority of the staff a person deals with on a regular shopping trip ruin it!!! Most of the front staff members are not friendly!!! My husband and I went through checkout last week, and the boy didn't even tell me the total of my order!! He was MUTE the whole time!! I go to this store atleast once a week at different times of the day, and most of the time, these people act like they HATE their jobs! They act like checking out your groceries is an inconvenience to them! I've been in there and waited at the register a few minutes while the clerks clearly knew I was there but continued to show the other what someone had posted on their Facebook page!!! Other times, I've been in there, and the checkout lines wrapped around the store past the egg fridge to yogurts!!!! With only 2 of the 6 or so registers open!!! AND This was a SATURDAY!!! This is an obvious day a grocery store would be busy!! And the the staff was there!!! I saw people who I've seen checking out customers before in aisle "stocking shelves." I put that in quotes because they weren't stocking shelves when I was watching them. But they were standing in front of the shelf with a cart full of the product to put on the shelf. Why were they not called up to run a register when the wait line was over a half hour wait and wrapped around the store??? MOVING ON TO THE STORE ITSELF.... . The SELECTION IS POOR!!! DONT EXPECT TO FIND EVERYTHING YOUR LOOKING FOR! You may only have one brand name, choice, size, and flavor! Otherwise, it's store brand, and you really have to be selective with what you buy for store brand because some of it's just tastes horrible! Like box Mac and cheese, canned foods..."
"The employees are all very nice, which is the reason for the extra star, but this is one of the worst grocery stores I have been in, and I have been in many as a mom with grown children. Fruit flies all over the produce in warmer months, empty shelves, TERRIBLE meat selection with poorly cut and wrapped meats, and incredibly expensive. This is unfair for the residents of the area where this is the ONLY grocery store for miles. Do better Shaw’s."
"Plenty of grocery goods here, pleasant cashiers, good selection of snow removal items, parking is good, and lines move quickly. Some issues include very poor restroom condition - too far into the back along a difficult path and the stalls are ZERO handicap accessible for wheelchair users; mildly handicapped users would still have difficulty as there are ZERO accommodations installed, such as grip bars. Perhaps the owners do not wish for handicapped individuals to frequent their stores (every one of the 6 I visited had same or similar issues). Great savings program if you become a member."
