"It used to be that you could go in and everybody would know your name, kind of like Cheers bar. It's not like that anymore. It was a slow night. Bitter cold outside. Please keep in mind that when you come into the entrance on the side floors could be very slippery. Apparently several waitresses have fallen because there isn't any safeguards in place. French onion soup was steamy. The rolls were too hard cooked too long. The chocolate cake was delicious. Service was good at the bar."

"This place was amazing! I went with my family of 9 and not only was all the food delicious the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They made my birthday dinner a perfect one. Also, the New England Clam Chowder Soup was one of the best I have ever had, and I order that soup almost every chance I can around the world. Lastly, thank you to our amazing waitress and the Anchor staff for having us. We will definitely be coming back."

"Stopped in on a Tuesday night with some ski buds. We ate at the bar. Good beer selection - game on the TV. No complaints from anyone about the other 4 dinner entree selections. I had the Blue Sirloin with a nice side salad. Delicious! Garlic mashed potato, crisp and tasty green beans, and a buttery sweet squash complemented nicely."

"Comfortable place for a meal in Wilmington. Has a very nostalgic feel to the place. Service is swift, but my friend was frequently ignored, so had to make all orders for her, even though we were a large group. We liked the food, especially the French Onion Soup, very warming and tasty."
