"Completed this hike in the snow in January. We didn’t wear spikes or snow shoes and were able to hike the trail. Brought our 8 year old German shepherd and he was able to hike up no issues. It was freezing at the top, we didn’t stay too long as a snow storm was coming in. The view was 100 percent worth it."
"This is about 3 km (1.8 miles) uphill and then the same way return with a 278 m (900 feet) total ascent. The uphill is not as tough as expected, with lots of loose rocks and uneven surface. However, it is a great test of your endurance and perseverance as the climb never stops. Once it is on the top, it has a great view of colorful foliage. It's worth all the hard work going up there!"
"Great moderate hike! The trail is normally a dry creek bed, but after the recent rains, it's a shallow stream. A few slick spots, as one would anticipate with wet rocks. A few spots early on the trail require solid balance or use of poles to cross wider streams, but checking out the falls is well worth the potential for damp socks. The trek to the top is a steady uphill grade, but again, it's worth it. Pace yourself with even strides and you'll be fine. We didn't encounter any nuisance bugs - a few mosquitos on the way up and some small flying pests at the tip while we were eating. Nothing that would prevent you from leisurely enjoying the view."
"- Easy to Moderate hike, 2 hour round trip, Not too much steep. - Cross the Rail track at Crawford House to access the trail head which is 0.1 mile from rail track. Make sure you go to left after 0.1 miles and not straight. - There is a small sign (can be seen in photos) at start of trail."
