"We recently saw Get The Led Out at this venue. Nice, small but not too small, holds about 1300. Good view from any seat!! Worth the price, will definitely see more shows here. On street parking? Get there early if you want to park close."
"A great experience. A small theater with great views of the stage. The show was top-notch. Excellent time."
"Great place to see jazz and blues concerts. Facility is a very well kept-up Art Deco treasure."
"Let me start by saying that I love seeing shows at the Capital Center and have always had a nice time at this venue. I am normally a positive person but the way one of the ushers made me feel at the Nurse Blake show prompted me to write this review. We bought tickets to the show last minute but arrived to the show late with excitement to have a nice night with laughs after a rough week. Half way through the show I took my phone out to take a picture and this women came out from no where and ordered me to turn my phone off because there were no videos allowed and I would be thrown out of the show if she caught me again. First of all there were no signs that said no videos were allowed and no one told us when we entered the building. Maybe there was something mentioned before the show started but like I said, we were late. She never gave me a chance to explain myself and took off to tell one of the ushers standing in the aisle next to me. After that I felt humiliated because I could tell he was watching me with a close eye and I sat there with anger and fear to even touch my phone. I got up to talk to the usher she spoke to (who was very nice and explained to me that it was just a warning), so that I could apologize and explain to him that I didn’t know the rule and a guy in the audience basically told me to sit down because he was trying to watch the show. I honestly could not even hear anything Nurse Blake said after that because I was so upset about the situation. I am a 45 year old women and she made me feel like an unruly teenager. We paid over $100 for an upsetting night when all I wanted was to laugh and have a good time. Maybe if people show up late to these shows, the people collecting the tickets should inform them of the rules. If someone told me, this entire situation could have been avoided."
"Beautiful venue, pleasant employees, fantastic location and always have great talent/shows. I saw comedian Bob Marley recently and had a great time! The seats were great and seemed like they would be from anywhere in the theater. I purchased the tickets on their website and was blown away with how reasonable their pricing was, especially when I compared to other sites selling tickets to the same show! Only complaint was I couldn't get a beverage during the show and when I went to the vending machine it was empty accept for water and then I couldn't even use change as a payment, it spit it back out! All while a security guard and an usher watched me struggle with amusement. Other than that, loved it and will return whenever possible."
