Blackstrap Hill Preserve
About the Business
Blackstrap Hill Preserve, located at 373 Blackstrap Road in Falmouth, Maine, is a beautiful park managed by the Falmouth Land Trust. The preserve offers a variety of recreational trails for visitors to explore, providing access to over 1000 miles of trails and 2.34 million acres of conserved land in Maine.
During the spring thaw and rainy season, some trails may be temporarily closed to prevent damage and allow for proper drying. By respecting these closures, visitors can help ensure that the trails are ready for use sooner rather than later.
The Falmouth Land Trust has been protecting forests, farms, fields, and waterways in the area for over 40 years, contributing to the conservation efforts in Maine. With over 12% of the state conserved by nonprofit land trusts, including the Falmouth Land Trust, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife habitat that these protected lands provide.

"It is most beautiful hiking trails you Walk in woods and maybe some wildlife to"
"Absolutely beautiful place with stupendous mountain biking trails! Flow Creek Trail in particular is highly recommended."
"So many trails. biking and hiking inclusive. good trail markings."
"Beautiful preserve with a ton of trails. Most of them are difficult climbs so be prepared to shred for a few hours. Also download TrailForks for navigation and tracking your trips."
"Newer, ambitious rider. Take the trail directly out of the car park for an immediate long, rocky, fun descent. Worm your way back up through the twists and turns and (yes) roots. Roots aren't too bad. Not much of a match for the 29" tires. Next pick a descent line. I chose black! Lots of small drops, berms, couple medium drops and overall very fun, technical riding to get your adrenaline (and in my case brakes) pumping. A real blast. This jump is located on the blue trail, and unfortunately where our ride ended. Much to learn!"
