"I love the balancing rock"
"Ten min walk for my two year old toddler one way. Had to hold her hand on some rocky places otherwise very kid friendly."
"Great spot to bring the kids and dog. Giant boulders, geocaches, old foundations, some views of My A. and a small waterfall (when there is water)."
"Awesome, first time biking the trail. Fun trail!"
"This place totally rocks. There are a bunch of different trails to check out and each has their own charm. The balancing rock is really cool for kids, there are looping trails around the big ponds, a bunch of beaver dams, a waterfall during the rainy season and even the old remnants of a homestead right off the trail. Fun for kids, for dates, for friends, you name it. It changes throughout the year as well. It is a completely different experience and enjoyable throughout each season. Bring bug spray and lots of water for the summer. The balancing rock can be difficult to find your first time: follow any trail from the trailhead to the old homestead and cross the wooden plank bridge. From there, keep right and you will hit a small little slough between some rocks. Cross that and keep left until you merge onto a bigger trail within sight of the big pond. From that bigger trail, you can take the first or second righthand trail which will lead you to the balancing rock that is pointed out by a sign on the side of the trail. It is roughly 15 to 20 minutes from the homestead to the balancing rock at a brisk pace, so just keep at it. Happy trails."
