"Absolutely gorgeous walkway, and in the summer it's fully green, and a good walk. You get to see the river, puppies on their walks. Great date idea too."

"Nice 7 or 8 mile rail trail. I always start at the 5 mile marker and go towards Augusta. It's paved and there are Portapotties. The only down side is the trail goes through Hallowell and, unless I've been missing something, you have to go right down Water St."

"This is a beautiful walkway. We parked very close to the bridge and walked about 2 miles south to Hallowell and had lunch near the Granite City Park. It’s a paved trail and easy to walk or ride bikes on. The area we walked was well maintained and there were lots of people using the trail. We easily walked from the river trail to the Capitol Park as well. If you have the opportunity, you should walk or ride this lovely trail."
