"A short walk, about 1.7 miles to the river and back. Well marked wide trail. Passes one large vernal pool. Trail ends at “picnic point” a high wooded bluff/point with the Cathance river all around. Interesting woods with historic evidence of old pasture and stone walls. Parking for maybe 5 cars. Can’t wait for trails to be cut to Muddy River on the the additional conservation land across 24 sometime in the future."
