This place is close to first Connecticut lake . The only minus is the road to the park , which is rough and lots of gravel on it !! I would highly recommend this place to everyone!!"

"Spent 5 nights tent camping and absolutely loved it! Kayaking on the lake was fun and hiking the trail along the river was peaceful! Staff was very friendly. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily and were very tidy! Showers are coin operated with impressive water pressure! Nice sink to do camp dishes as well. There are ATV trails here as well but something we did not do. Can't wait to camp here again!"

"Staff were friendly. Some sites better than others. The ones with hook ups right along the lake were nice. Some sites were flooded which was a little scary as it rained nearly every day we were there. Wish the single dryer had been working earlier but it was fixed on our last day there. I did see a bear near the covered bridge so beware if you go exploring."
