Charlies Honda

"I will never purchase a vehicle with Charlie’s again, nor will I recommend them to anyone after the experience I’ve had especially with the sales department. My sale rep was good, but due to her higher ups, it made my experience not the best overall. I traded in a car I was in a good place with, and for the year and mileage I had an okay payoff amount (due to putting a high amount down and paying extra month on it) .. they refused to give me my payoff amount, they gave me 2300.00 less than what I owed.. (gave me 12k and owed 14,300) then took the car and put it on the lot for 21k and didn’t do anything to it.. called me two days later and thought for some reason I was going to be giving them my other set of tires as well due to it having snow tires on it.. (clearly not if they weren’t on or in the car) and especially when I wasn’t even given the payoff when I know I could have gotten that at other dealerships. I put 6k down and due my situation the finance department was very pushy about that part… pushed me to call my credit cards for credit increases not caring if it impacted my credit, kept talking loudly while I was trying to talk to the company on the phone, just a horrible experience. Im the one who mentioned I would put 6k down.. yet it was like a requirement.. I should have turned around right then and there between that and not getting my payoff but that was one hard lesson.. secondly.. I purchased a BRAND NEW 2024 civic touring.. i had noticed that the drivers side rear window where they put the large sticker with all the info on, had a decent scratch in it on the inside of the window.. took it in after having my windows tinted and you could very clearly see the scratch at the tint shop and through the tint.. they said it wasn’t covered and the sales manager would only contribute PART of the cost and wouldn’t pay for my window to be retinted. I told them I wouldn’t have had any of these problems if o went to central Maine like I was frontally planning and this was horrible customer service. The service manager himself along with my sales rep offered themselves to pay my “out of pocket” cost for the window to be replaced but i had to pay to tint it again. Nonetheless I took that deal because I’m not paying for a window in a car that was BRAND NEW and shouldn’t have had a scratch in any window what so ever. Idk what’s happened to Charlie’s over the years but when I bought a car there in 2011, I had a different experience. never again.. shame on the sales department and finance for ripping people off and not going good on dealership problems."

"Staff is always attentive and courteous. Ryan was the one I dealt with in the Honda garage and he kept me advised all along however, I do feel that this was something that was missed as I brought my Honda in a few months ago complaining of the sound, and they couldn’t replicate it, but when I came in this time for a different complaint, they found that it was a ball joint I believe, causing some clunking underneath which is what I had been hearing in the months previous. Everything seems to be good now, and my warranty covered most of the repairs and I even had a rental car which was convenient. I love Charlie’s for the simple fact that they have the free car wash. Takes the winter off my car quite nicely."
