"I’ve had a mostly positive experience with this bank, good people, good service, but I recently went in to cash a $100 check from a family member in Canada and was told that they’d charge $20 to cash the international check. My previous bank cashed checks like this with no extra charge. It’s a bank. Disappointing, and making me question if I should have joined this bank. Edit: Sigh. Apparently they don’t exchange Euros either (or any other foreign currency other than canadian dollars)"

"If I could give zero stars, I would. I called this bank today and was told that their lobby is open for members and nonmembers on Saturdays until 12:30pm. I go there and am told that they will not provide services for nonmembers on Saturdays. Keep in mind, it’s a three minute transaction to deposit a check. Terrible customer service."

"Went to withdraw some money and had to deal with the most unfriendly lady. She was rude and snippy. I am a new member and I didn’t have a card yet and she acted like it was the end of the world and she was mad that she had to actually do work. I plan on closing the account asap. I went to Bangor Savings and they were the friendliest ladies ever."
