"I lost my daughter to breast cancer seven years ago following an excruciating three year battle involving multiple surgeries, includung mastectomy, intense chemotherapy and radiation that burned her skin raw. Every hope to live was constantly being dashed. Jennifer Ligibel was to be her last hope in a clinical trial she was involved in. My wife, my daughter and I met with Ligible. As a result of that meeting with Ligibel, my daughter had the worst day of her young life. We were told that my daughter would not be included in the trial. Furthermore, Ligibel's cavalier manner and total lack of empathy in how she told my daughter that everything that can be done has been done. There's nothing else she can do for her. I will never forget the despondency we all felt after that meeting. She offered us no hope at all. Following that meeting, we met with Dr Phil Devlin, who helped my daughter through the last few months of her life by giving her some continued hope. Ligibel may be a good oncologist (I don't know) but she has the bedside manner of an icicle. If you have a choice, see Dr. Devlin. DON'T see Ligibel."

I am thinking about dropping out of the study because what's the point if I am going to get nothing out of it except two boring recipes."
