Reviews
"John H. (aka Jack) is an extremely professional, experienced and attentive therapist. He provides high quality, comprehensive clinical support, and has extensive experience working with a wide range of clients- from children to adults, families, couples, etc. Jack has a high level of clinical knowledge, from academic/theoretical and everything he’s gained from decades in the field. The biggest thing about him, though, is he’s a friendly, humble, down-to-earth guy. Jack is great at establishing therapeutic rapport and making clients feel accepted and comfortable. I personally enjoy the office where Jack has his practice. It is in a pretty convenient location from any direction, and a cool, old, renovated ‘mill-style’ building w huge high ceilings, huge windows and the river right outside. Always easy, free parking in the lot- plenty of space. Jack has helped me immensely during some difficult life phases. Jack is ALWAYS fair with accepting copays, is always flexible with time he might have available if a client needs to reschedule. He will always be sensitive and understanding if there’s a last minute emergency and a client needs to cancel. Remember though, like any provider, there is a no-show fee for a reason. People’s time is valuable. If you’re straight up with Jack and give the 24 or 48 hours he requests [I forget which, check the website], there isn’t an issue. If a client continually skips appts., is a no-call-no-show/isn’t considerate by not calling and leaving a message, they should get charged…therapists are currently in short supply, people are on months long waiting lists. If you want a therapist, go for it. But, don’t waste any therapists time, and screw over people that actually would have taken the time by not showing up over and over. If you are looking for therapy and Jack is able to fit you on the schedule (things fill up fast), definitely work with Jack!"
"Jack has been vital in the treatment of my anxiety and depression. I can't say where I'd be without his counseling."
"Don't call they never give you a call back. Horrible service!"
