"We found out only after the Murphy insurance rep went to renew our home owners policy that it has been cancelled almost a year ago by Quincy Mutual. Apparently the bill and f/u cancellation from Quincy was not forwarded to our new address so we had no idea it was cancelled. Apparently there was no flagging of this by Quincy or Murphy and they did not work with us for a solution and don't seem to have a process in place to avoid this type of situation. What are we paying you for? Isn't there a system to flag policies on the verge of cancellation? I'm sure we are not the only ones who have changed addresses. Now we have to pay an extra $1000 this year due to the lapse. I'm questioning if the bank ever received notification and I'm going to check with them. Extremely poor customer service...."
