"After being a patient at this office for over 15 years, with all due respect I declined some diagnostic testing due to my concern over radiation exposure and some other personal issues and wrote Dr. Asch a letter of explanation to be placed in my file. Being a licensed alternative health care professional, I thought my wishes might be respected. After missing my yearly physical for a few years I attempted to return to Dr. Asch but was told his book was full and the same was true for the other providers as well. After asking if they would please ask Dr. Asch personally if I could resume care since I thought we had a good relationship and that I was willing to wait as long as necessary for an appointment, I received a very short phone reply saying, "Dr Asch said no, Good-bye". No compassion or willingness to respect a patient's wishes. I would never refer to this office. My new provider at a different office is open, compassionate, and willing to work with me and address my concerns, and respects my wishes and professional training, as opposed to the "it's my way or the highway" attitude of Dr. Asch and his staff. Typical of hospital owned clinics in this area where you get your 15 minutes and must comply with their orders or you're out the door. I highly recommend Whole Life Health Care in Newington NH where you are given as much time as you need, have access to a patient portal where your concerns are addressed within hours of contacting them, and you are respected as a human being. They are what healthcare SHOULD be. Family Care Of Somersworth is NOT."

"We really like our doctor, he's great with the kids however I have never once gotten an appointment when the kids are sick. They send me to Urgent care or ER everytime. When I call with questions, they rarely call me back. One of the nurses is rude and chooses appointment times for you. I've also received a lot of outdated advice on issues with the kids that I was told is incorrect elsewhere which has made me question whether it's time to move on. Its unfortunate because our doctor is a great guy with good intention but we are not getting quality care."

"I see Dr. Asch and he is very helpful. The environment is very friendly. Dr. Asch is the kinda person that you can talk about anything and not feel weird or awkward about it. He is very funny and keeps you laughing the whole time. Definitely recommend."

"Used to see Dr. Renner, but missed my appointment due to work, and it takes a few months to reschedule. She also won't refill any prescriptions if you miss your appointment, so you'll be left going without it (even after calling and leaving two messages) until you have your next appointment, or in my case, find a better provider. Don't bother."
