"Checked out Cafe Darq one day in the summer after having passed by it a few times. It is located on Beach Street in Chinatown, which is the boba hub. The inside is a bit small. It's basically like one long hallway. But it looks modern. There were a few people at the time that I went but not overly crowded. My drink came out relatively quickly, but, unfortunately, my friend's drink took quite a while. We suspect that they missed her order because there were people behind us who ended up getting their drinks first. I got the butterfly pea flower tea. The drink was aesthetic, but the taste did not match the looks, as it was very watered down. It was also pricey for the size. Overall, I probably would not come back."
"Not bad here, small part of Chinatown so you don't notice it. Minus a point on service because we went in and the person working there was either distracted or oblivious. My daughter and I were standing to take an order while more people kept coming in.. they decided to help someone else that came in basically third after us. I spoke up that we were all waiting in line and all was good. It still should be the employees observation that there's quite a few people piling in that you should help whoever was first or ask."
"Cafe Darq is one of the few cafes in Boston that open late. I came here around 6pm on a Saturday evening to kill time before meeting a friend for dinner, and it wasn't too busy. There was someone doing work on their laptop, as well as people just chatting. I ordered an iced hojicha latte, which I really enjoyed, and sat with my book. It eventually got busier, but was never overcrowded."
"Currently at said cafe writing this review. It’s a super cute and pretty cafe. They don’t have loud jarring music, just ambiance music, pretty nice. I got the butterfly pea limeade with aloe topping, refreshing and delicious. I love lemonade/limeade and this hits the spot. It’s not too sweet or overly sour and I love it. I came in here for a nice little break walking around Chinatown and it’s super nice. For $7, I say the limeade is worth it because that’s around the price you would pay for at other boba shops. I love their aesthetic and the decorations. I could see myself coming here to study and work (if I can find parking in Chinatown). But I like this place."
"My go-to bubble tea spot in Chinatown. Cafe Darq shines with its vast coffee and bubble tea repertoire that consistently impress. Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba and the exotic Coconut Butterfly are personal favorites, but the Hojicha Latte also offers an enticing, earthy alternative. The rare bonus of a charming outdoor patio in Chinatown solidifies Cafe Darq as a standout destination for a perfect bubble tea experience."
