"Our first bed bug experience. DO NOT STAY HERE but if you must, check the mattress for bed bugs. My husband woke with blood all over the sheets and bites. When we looked, we saw the bugs! Never, ever have we had this experience and all management could do was tell us they held high standards of cleanliness. They offered no remuneration or apology. Their breakfast was not as others have reviewed it to be…waffles, really? There was a very limited offering. No manager overnight either which they said “was on our website”…..our stay was one of convenience only and we have paid dearly for this since we had to heat everything (with a hot hair dryer) we brought into this room to kill any hitchhikers. "The pool was FILTHY full of mold and grease, the service was god awful Jimmy i think hes name was or someone starting with J was awfully rude to me and my wife. The location is terrible it was always boiling hot and no way to get comfortable. The rooms had no air-con and no fans i was sweating my balls off."

"The place is a dump, needs serious renovation. I tried to change my reservations a day after I made it and they refused. They charged me $367.00/night, I stayed 3 days & got maid service 1 day, they took the dirty glasses but didn’t replace them, no wine glasses. The room was clean & the bed comfortable but the bathroom needs serious updating. At this price I do not expect a tub with a shower curtain. The towels were low end. The breakfast is like what u get at a Motel 6. Do not stay here, better places in Kennebunkport."

"Room was nice, they took an old property, completely renovated it and is now very comfortable and clean. Help was ok but did not go over and above by any means. Breakfast is not good, zero protein options, we ate elsewhere. Also we thought we had paid 100% for our room. Looked at my credit card statement and there was a $20 charge. Called and asked; there is a $10 daily resort fee, we had no idea."

"Don't bring small kids here. We were informed by the manager that we were being too noisy in our room. Our kids were getting on and off the bed in our 2nd story room. We apologized for the inconvenience and later that day received an email from the hotel stating that due to the noise , a guest decided to leave the hotel. The manager informed us that they would not be charging us for the guest's departure, but wanted us to be aware of the situation we placed on this guest. That seemed entirely unnecessary and almost threatening. We do understand that the noise is frustrating; however, it seems like the hotel should reconsider their child policy. Small children naturally make more noise as they move in the room. This is amplified especially if you're on a second floor room. On a separate note, our room was heavily masked with an orange scent. The morning of our departure, we were greeted with chirping from the fire alarm. The batteries needed to be changed. We informed someone at the front who told us that the manager would reach out to us. We never did hear anything. Overall, a disappointing stay."
