"We LOVED The Topside. We came to New England from Colorado for a “color” trip but wanted to get some water time before heading West. Turns out it was a lousy year for color but great at Booth Bay. The rooms are a little small but didn’t matter because everything and everyone was great. They have covered every detail and they are well known for a fabulous breakfast."

"We def want to come back to this lovely inn, with amazing staff, and breakfasts to die for! This was our first visit, and we stayed in the Windward Jr. Suite. The decor was tasteful, and the view from the deck was unbeatable, with a comfortable bed and luxurious soaking tub. The only downsides to our stay were to do with the room itself, but were unavoidable given the location of the room in the building. The room had a musty smell, which seemed inevitable as it's at a walkout basement level (into the hillside), and so it would be difficult to keep it in an ideally dry state. Also, the structure is such that the sounds from the people in the 2 rooms overhead were clearly audible; footsteps, doors, drawers, etc. We're light sleepers, who travel with our own white noise, and would recommend that for anyone else for whom noise is an issue, that you request to stay on one of the top floors of the inn. That's what we plan to do, as this really is a wonderful inn!!"

"Our anniversary celebration was perfect at the Topside Inn. Start to finish we had a fabulous stay. The room was beautiful with a cozy fireplace and the patio view was hard to beat. One of our highlights were the Cookie Du Jour....a different homemade cookie everyday. It was difficult to pick a favorite, but we definitely looked forward to each one. The gourmet breakfast was another highlight. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband especially liked the banana French toast, but I'm still dreaming about the carrot cake pancakes with maple cream cheese drizzle. Mark, Buzz and Rebecka were gracious hosts. They made great suggestions, and their fabulous website got my planning off to a great start. The entire staff was awesome. The location is perfect being a bit away from the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to walk within minutes into town. If your travel plans bring you to Boothbay Harbor, look no farther than Topside Inn for your accommodations. You will be in for a luxurious treat!"

"Being our first stay in a small inn or bed and breakfast, we were not sure exactly what to expect - but were very pleased. Small enough for exception service while still allowing for your own space when desired. The Topside Inn lives up to the many positive reviews and awards. Our Leeward Premium Harbor View was plenty spacious and comfortable, with our own semi-private deck was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee with the lawn or main building porch a perfect spot to unwind. Breakfast was outstanding each morning with great service throughout our stay. Rooms and common areas were always spotless and looked newly renovated. The Inn is in a great location at the top of the hill, being a short walk to the harbor, restaurants and shopping. It was clear why many of the guests we met at breakfast were return guests to the Topside Inn, we will definitely return here in the future."
