Medomak Family Camp

"Medomak Family Camp has been amazing for our family. We just completed our second stay and it does not disappoint. The food is amazing, cabins are simple and have everything you need, the waterfront is beautiful and ready for kayaks, sailing, fishing, swimming etc. I can’t say enough about how amazing the owners are, and the entire staff at medomak. All that said the single best thing, and the reason we went back. I absolutely love watching my kids confidence grow during the week. Both of my somewhat shy children performed at the final campfire and learned other new things like jumping off the dock, etc. The counselors at Medomak take a vested interest in your kids and create really strong bonds with your family. Highly recommend!"

"I have the best memories of this place with my boys. We first came here 12 years ago and prior to that I had watched them on the Today show. After our first stay, when we were packing up to leave, we literally went home and made a deposit for the following summer. We have been back on subsequent years and I have some of the best memories with my kids here. The parents really get a chance to have a vacation also. We made lifelong friendships. The lifeguards and counselors never take the eyes off your kids. They camp owners really take pride and form relationships with the families who return year after year. I hope I can take my future grandkids here some time in the future."

"Year #4 in the books and Medomak did not disappoint! A rare opportunity in todays world to get away from screens and enjoy your family! Great times with archery, tennis, sailing, kayaking and more! Great family style meals including a lobster dinner! And even great adult activities like beer tasting and of course evening fires and s’mores. By far our favorite vacation. Ages 5-13 is their sweet spot but there is a nursery and even our 17 year old had a great time!!"

"Hi guys, I just came home from the most amazing observing session in recent memory. Kelly & I were in Washington Maine delivering an Orion 12” GoTo Dob to the camp where we put on summer astronomy programs. The sky was absolutely amazingly clear, and once the moon set the skies were Milky Way from horizon to horizon. Here’s a partial list of what we observed between 9pm and 3am. M2, 4, 7, 8, 13, 15, 20, 21, 27, 31, 32, 51, 57, 81, 82, 87, 92, Albireo, Mizar, North American Nebula, Swan, Wild Duck, Saturn Nebula, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and I can’t remember the rest. The telescope performed flawlessly from the moment we turned it on and gave it a 2 star alignment. EVERY TARGET was in the center of the field after slew for the entire night."
