"The worst use of technology. The whole system is made in such a way that no one wants to answer people. Useless in every aspect."
"It is unethical for your team to decline to provide the RSV antibody shot to babies entering their first RSV season who need it when you have a supply that other offices do not. What happened to the Hippocratic oath in Pediatrics?"
"Not just adult primary care lacks at urban hospitals but Pedi care is standard and providers purposely aloof. When I need to spend my 10 minutes I have with a provider to address why I don't want a vision test for my son here today bc you charged my insurance last year for one and it was inadequate, preformed by a person who did not ever do one who didn't speak our language and you don't have the adequate equipment or specialty knowledge. My son is supposed to name tiny images I cannot even tell what they are, They don't look what you claim they are. No place for him to sit. I want to take him to a Children's optometry department period and bc you charge my insurance last year I could not get him one when preparing for start of school. It's easy for them to charge this service bc no prior authorization is needed. But you won't get a true exam. Do not let them. Doctor said but your insurance will pay. Easy billable money! I answer questions he has it seems the appointment is over. Wait doc! What about the blood test he needs I never got to have the conversation about his severe concussion from school in January. You did not look in his ears follow up how those drops you prescribed last month did not work out. He was in such a rush to move on once he had all he wanted to know on his mind nothing to do with my son. I asked him over a year ago for chantix a year ago why are you writing now?. He offers it when I am not thinking about it. You get people when they are ready not when I am trying to execute needed care plan for son. Just lacking what I want for my child and never really seems to be In tune. I stayed 5 years always wondering is this going to be the relationship I can rely on? It's not and no one should wait this long wondering. I barely called for anything bc when my kids get sick I know I can handle it. But what about when there is an issue? You need to go to ER bc Pedi office will not call you back until you are literally checked in at the ER. They wait that long. I know the drill no call from them means go to ER. Hope ED listens, treats us the way I know I should be, as my child's first and foremost advocate, and only one not getting paid here to do my job. I'm also extremely observant and I know I need a Pedi who knows I'm observant, honest, and an excellent source of information that should be heard to better serve my sons health. My son's had ear infection and chest infection since October 2022. All the sudden another trip to ER resident pulmonologist my kids been on inhaler and while during RSV Albuterol helped it did not solve the lung or ear infection that was diagnosed 1 week prior to RSV and attempted treatment with first defense amoxicillin. When you go to the ER over and over and see different doctors the diagnosis will change from what I believed was accurate by the first ER doctor found the crackling in chest and ear infection. It changed when he came down with RSV one week later and then all the sudden he's a complete asthma patient for 8 mos straight with fluid in ears every time I go in to ER I say check his ears along with lungs. Fluid + ears & fluid +lungs= inhailers! It's been lingering for 8 months. Finally 2wkends at ER got my oral antibiotics for his ears. He's finally getting something to kill fluid in his middle ear that they act like it's gonna respond to ear drops. They don't listen and doctors notes are always vague and not reflective of the actual visit or information you were provided prior isn't clear One doctor says pneumonia, Pulmonologist- asthma but he's bias grabbing patients for himself as he said "benefits of working in ED on resident rotation." You feel disrespected leave asap. Find better care you are certain will keep you in your best health. Do not stay bc it's convenient or you think they just need another chance.. If they are lazy or uninterested in a jump ship. I learned the hard way. I'm not allowing my son to get bad treatment. Kids are off limits! Everyone should be treated with dignity, some institutions prioritize backwards."
"Good staff and providers. The nurses are nice and helpful though most of the time they are very busy. We leveraged Patient Gateway for communication and it was excellent. Got smaller issue resolved without seeing doctor in person. Our pediatrician is knowledgeable and we like the facilities— new and modern. Will definitely miss it!"
"Called three times to be connected to the on call provider, because my Child has high fever and I am having hard time lowering it and I am in need for professional advice, no one called me back, 1st time I was told within 2 hrs, 2nd time I was told within 30 min, 3rd time I was told I would be connected to the triage nurse. I am so frustrated, and disappointed and I am MGH staff member and now I understand because of this kind of patient care we went from 2nd to 3 rd and 5th place in the rankings. If a zero exists that’s what you MGH pediatrics deserve- especially the person on call today 05/15/2022."
