"Am I dumb for trying to call them for a quick question? Was sitting on hold for 20 minutes so I called back. Got someone and they just sent me back to the same waiting/on hold thing without me finishing my sentence. Waited on hold again for a while. Hung up and then tried a human again, they sent me right back. Currently still sitting on hold. I just have a really quick question about paying my bill and its been over an hour."
"I hope no one ever has to go through what we did in the endoscopy/gastroenterology dept. The doctors were fine, but the two of the aftercare/recovery nurses were AWFUL. Our primary female nurse lied to us multiple times, refused to let my wife come back to her senses before making her leave the recovery bed(my wife could not walk at this point). We requested a wheelchair before the procedure even started. They then told us they couldn’t get a wheelchair for her when she got out of her procedure, and told us we should have brought our own. She insisted that my wife sign paperwork without reading it, and even removed the signature page from the rest of the paperwork. They sent us home without a special medical device she was given then they accused us of losing the device. After looking for almost an hour they found it “in a cabinet” because someone picked it up and moved it without our knowledge. We never got any apologies, and both of them were rude to us even after their mistakes were called out. We have been going here for three years on a monthly basis to many different departments. I am absolutely disgusted by the way my wife was treated. There are many great doctors and nurses at this hospital, but this type of attitude and treatment should never be accepted. I sincerely hope things change, patient advocate services was notified."
"I have been coming to this place for years... Doctors are great but some of the nurses, are rude and racist. Just yesterday at the emergency room. I asked the nurse why I had to wait so long when I just had a head injury and I have tumor. She told me that she didn't have time to look up my medical history that I had to let her know, when I actually did tell her in the beginning that I come to this hospital and my doctor is here. And she started yelling and telling me that if I wanted to leave just leave... I came to you with severe pain and this is how you treat people? I wasn't even surprised because most staff at that hospital are rude, and racist... I'm only giving 5 stars because I do like the doctors there!"
"I don't like coming to this place. The staff sometimes have rude attitudes that is really uncalled for. They leave bad impressions in people minds. If it wasn't for my Medical Doctors that have been treating me for my health; correctly, at that. I would have went to another hospital. Boston Medical Center is only good for certain procedures and for seeing certain Doctors. I stay away if I can because the hospital is a horrible hospital to have to receive care from when 97% of the staff is either, mad, upset, angry, disgruntled, and disrespectful towards clients. This is very unacceptable. When clients are not treated correctly within any setting. Those same dissatisfied clients go back with word of mouth to others and that word of mouth can damaged your establishment or lift that establishment up. BMC; you are falling and failing off the chart. It's a school for training students which is fine but a License Medical Doctor should always be around and there should never be a problem when you ask for one over a resident student. When you overlook what I am asking for then yes it is a problem. If I say I don't want a student seeing me at this time. Hopefully, BMC will get better in time."
