"Having been in the VA system for 30+ years, and living in several states across the US, the JP hospital and Medical system is definitely one of the better locations. Most everyone is caring and helpful and the quality of care is quite good. Of course there are some difficult people but you'd expect that anywhere."
"I’ve had the best care here. My orthopedic surgeon is in the top of her field. Even if I had the money, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!"
"VA Boston has best staff & docs by far. Coming here for years & it was bad waaayyyy back when there wasn't a even a Women's Healthcare. Now it's like a different world. If you can work here , u can work anywhere cuz I know we aren't always the easiest group of clients. These people saved my life & help keep me centered. I get off track I thank GOD for these people."
"In all the doctors I’ve had within the Jamaica Plain campus, I can honestly say there was only 1 Doctor within this campus that was a respectable doctor. From being spoken down to by primary care about my personal decision not to receive a Covid vaccine. A counselor abandoned me as a patient and at the same time literally admit that it wasn’t what was best for me. Had an issue with my foot, had been seen on three separate occasions (the third time because they couldn’t get it right the first two times) and not once was given any type of pain relief. When I was at the ER for my foot, I had a needle jammed into the most painful parts I had on my foot and he dug around. The swelling, pain and bleeding was unacceptable. Especially since I was sent away in that condition. Again left in pain. Podiatry seems to think they have the authority to tell you what you feel for pain. Although, if they had don’t the job right the first time, I wouldn’t have had to come back 10 days later with redness, swelling and pain. How about GI wrongfully diagnosing me with liver disease for a whole year? Then just to have a family member who is in the medical field question the doctor and my labs. All the sudden, I didn’t have liver disease anymore. Imagine that. Or when I was literally screamed at by a nurse from primary care and told I was a liar when they lost my paperwork. Funny thing about that one? I had a hand receipt stating that I dropped that exact paperwork off. This facility is literally the type of facility on how there’s so many “stereotypes” on the VA. But, are the stereotypes if they’re true? This campus does not care about you. I’ve never felt like my medical care was safe inside this building."
