"Highly recommend! Super responsive, super attentive! About two weeks ago I scratched my cornea and was in a ton of pain! I called Dr. McAlear and he was able to see me right away. The injury happened on a Friday and I was nervous going into the weekend knowing at any point the pain could come back. Dr. McAlear was so fantastic! He gave me his cell phone to contact him with any issues and was super responsive! Unfortunately, I did have to go back in on a Saturday for another treatment but after that it got much better. For the next two days Dr. McAlear asked that I update him on how I was feeling even if it was great by texting him. Nowadays it's so hard to get an actual person on the line and even harder to reach your doctor. Dr. McAlear made it super easy, and I truly appreciate him!"

"One of my lens for my backup pair of eyeglasses popped out and I couldn't find it. It was a day before Thanksgiving and I was getting paranoid because although I had plenty of contact lenses as well as a pair of old glasses with an older prescription as a second backup, I would feel more comfortable with getting a replacement lens for my 1st backup pair. So I began looking for optometrists in Weymouth to see if I could get a replacement lens same day. I found McAlear Eye Care in South Weymouth and decide to go there. Although his office (like all of the optical shops that I spoke with) didn't make new lens same day, Dr. McAlear volunteered to do a quick eye exam to verify a new prescription that I just received from another doctor. After that, he went further and made up a pair of temporary glasses with the new prescription for me to walk around with to make sure that the vision change with the new prescription was actually going to work for me. Furthermore, since I am very near-sighted and was concerned about the thickness of the lens with the new pair of glasses that I had planned to order, he also took the time to explain how I choose the best frame size...drew out a sketch and explain the geometric aspects of the frame so that I more clearly understood how to make a more informed choice in new frames. Finally, one of his opticians took my older pair of glasses (2nd backup pair) and straightened the bent frame, tightened & reinforced the screws and installed a material in the frame so those lens would not pop out so easily going forward. All of this and his office never charged me a dime! Needless to say, I was blown away! Let me add...the office was scheduled for an early close that day at 3:30pm, but he and his optician stayed well past that time to make sure that I was satisfied with everything. They were very personable, thorough and kind to me. I wlll most certainly consider McAlear Eye Care first when its time for my next exam."
