"I needed physical therapy to get relief from chronic tightness in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. For more than 15 years I had tried many therapies to reduce the pain in those areas, and to stop headaches that resulted every week or so. I had success in relieving the pain with massage therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture. All of these therapies were helpful, but the pain and headaches would return after each treatment. I knew that I needed some immediate relief, and also a ‘tool box’ of exercises to continue self-care after the series of PT sessions was over. Dr. Mike did not disappoint in this department. Over four weeks of twice weekly sessions he introduced quite a few exercises which worked to release the pain significantly. And then he gave me a lot of homework, to apply the exercises throughout the time in between PT sessions. There was some trial and error involved in finding the most effective exercises. Dr. Mike was tireless in these efforts, and each week the pain was reduced further. Life goes on, and there are many parts of modern life that give us stress. For me, that accumulates in the upper back, shoulders, and neck. But since having PT from Dr. Mike, I am equipped with techniques to stop the buildup of pain and to restore comfort. "I am so glad I found Mike! He is so positive and enthusiastic that it’s impossible not to want to put in the work to get the desired results. I was found to have a grade 3 osteoarthritis of my knee causing pain and a constant clicking, which was making me limp, aggravating my sciatica.
