"I can get an OK adjustment here so my experience hasn't been entirely negative. Unfortunately the staff at Chelmsford Chiropractoc Center don't seem to understand their own billing system. Appointment after appointment I would always ask if I had a balance to pay, and the answer after looking at the computer was always, "No." I understand that sometimes bills for deductibles will take some time to come in from the insurance companies, but I have never had to go more than 3-4 weeks until the amount would be sent to the doctor at which point I could pay at my next visit. Several months and over a dozen visits go by, and suddenly I have a call from a collections agent for an unpaid bill over $400. I can't understand how I can go so quickly from not having an outstanding balance to having a large bill in collection. The only conclusion I can draw is that Dr. Fischer and his staff don't understand how to interpret their billing software, and as soon as they see a large bill send it out for collection. He says he tried calling me but I "must have changed my phone #." I have used the services of 5 other chiropractors and have never had any problems like this. A few other things about this place that have put me off to the point where I won't be going back. I always schedule my next appointments during my visits, but I'll often receive a call from Dr. Fischer a few days before my following appointment asking if I need to schedule something. He will even ask if I'm coming in later in the day as if I already have an appointment to keep! I am fairly certain he uses an auto-dialer because sometimes I would answer the phone and he didn't even know who he had called. Dr. Fischer is incredibly efficient at working on 3 or 4 people simultaneously, so there isn't much individual attention for routine adjustments. One last thing is he's not shy about complaining about his wife while he's working on you as if you're a bartender. I have a coworker who stopped going based on this point alone. TLDR, you can get a decent adjustment here, but you can get a decent adjustment pretty much anywhere and there are too many reasons to look elsewhere for your healthcare."
