Block Island Ferry

"The staff is extremely not friendly and helpful. It’s our first time visiting RI and Block Island. She is very rude when I asked for help. Not sure if it’s due to my skin color or accent. Here is our experience: We didn’t expect all parking lots are full. We spent an hour on looking for a parking spot. We have to reschedule our tickets from high speed to traditional ticket, and don’t get the reimbursement. No reimbursement rule is shown on the website. After we changed to traditional ticket, we found out we still couldn’t catch up the time, we had to changed to the next time slot for the high speed. I didn’t know if it can work. Then I went to this rude lady for a solution, she said I would be charged with the variance. I continued asking for her understanding due to crazy full parking lots everywhere during the holiday time. However, she presented her ruthless and her attitude was so sucks, she said she couldn’t control the parking and walked away. My vacation was totally ruined by her."

"We’ve opted for the round trip ferry as we are not in rush to reach the island. It takes about an hour. There are couple of ports where you can board from. The car parking is right opposite the ferry office and they usually charge around 15$ for whole day parking. Evening ferry back from island at 5 PM is the busiest. Plan to reach the port early so you don’t miss it. Usually the next one is after 90 min. If you plan to carry your car to the island plan to call the ferry office at least few weeks before and have the reservation."

"Easy parking across the street from the Block Island ferry ticket booth. Less than 1 hour ferry ride to the Island. Bike rentals available. Restaurants are near the ferry dock."

"Amazing experience with this ferry company. They're incredibly efficient and timely with their schedule. I took a car on the traditional ferry and that was a breeze too. If you're taking a car, you have to reserve in advance, show up an hour early, and back it onto the ship. The staff guides you through the process. During the journey, you can stay in the car or go up to enjoy the views. When you reach your destination, you just drive off the ferry and they waste no time with this. The staff are friendly and they even have a small concession area onboard. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to/from Block Island!"
