"They say home is not the place where you live, rather the place where you belong. Saint Benedict Academy has quickly become a "home" to our family. They truly understand my son on a personal level that is beyond my expectations. They both challenge him in his areas of talent and work with him one on one with the areas he struggles.. The level of communication between parents, students, teachers and support staff is amazing! Family participation in events, volunteering is probably unrivaled in the area, perhaps because like most parents I truly feel that my support of the school is appreciated. The school offers computers, Spanish, art, gym and music. Don't let the classic education model fool you--though there is lots of structure and the core academics get priority the kids are always engaged in hands on activities and are enthusiastic about their learning. As a working parent the fear of having to leave my child at school for an extended day was a heavy weight on my mind before he started at Saint Benedict Academy. Now I have the opposite problem--getting accused of picking him up too early! The after school team is loving, nurturing and the kids have a blast! It is very difficult to get my child to come home at night because he is enjoying the old fashioned family time environment. In all aspects the school does not just "talk the talk" in terms of Catholic values and beliefs, it "walks the walk". Respect, community, sharing, and compassion are all part of the every day experience. In addition to reading, writing and math my son is learning gratitude, what it means to be a friend and manners. This school is more than just a place of academics it is truly a home away from home for my child and his entire family. I truly feel that our investment in our child's education will be rewarded with the return of a well rounded young man."
