"Cute and quaint candy shop located in prime real estate on the main stretch of downtown portland. Lots to choose from, whatever candy style you are on to it's here. My preference is soft sour, gummy type candies and they had a nice spread. In particular, I have to point out the sour apple (see pic). Never seen it before and it's just over the top sour goodness with intense apple flavor! If you're in the mood for sweet candy, definitely worth stopping in. Very pricey though $4.25 a 1/4 pound. Had what we thought was a relatively small bag of candy and came in at $18! Ouch!"

"Old Port Candy Co is the best! They have an awesome selection and the freshest of fresh candy. I'm also convinced they are the only place in southern Maine with red wheel licorice. Both locations in Portland are worth a visit. If you are searching for something to do in town start here, candy will lead you to the best next stop."

"This is a rare gem of a store. Their fudge is incredible (seriously, do yourself a favor and forget about calories for a bit). But the real star here is the people. We put in a vague request on a hot and tired moving day for some candy to be delivered and the sweet soul who filled out order went way above and beyond for us. Even including a little note. This place has great candy and even better people. Will definitely be coming here for any sweet tooth cravings we might have in the future!"

"Large variety of old time candy. Also a nice selection of chocolates. The chocolate dipped pretzels coated with either mini Reeses pieces or toffee pieces were really good. The milk chocolate salted caramel were fantastic!!! Owner is a super friendly, welcoming lady"
