"parking isn't too bad way too short and very muddy right now with all the rain i don't recomend it. going down the lake is pretty nice though but very easy and not challenging at all if you want to walk your dog"
"One of our favorite morning hiking spots."
"Lovely old growth forest, terrain changes and sheer beauty. Though can be full of dog walkers and a bit noisy at times next to a summer camp and Tanglewood."
"Nice place for a picnic. You have to be careful entering because the driveway slopes down sharply and turns right away, but it is not too bad. There is a good-sized parking area at the bottom of the hill. Several paths lead down to the lake. There is a dock there and two picnic tables. The trees go right up to the water, but you can reach the shore easily and there is a narrow sand strip along the edge for wading."
"Bullard Woods was donated to the Stockbridge Bowl Association in the mid twentieth century. It's a gorgeous, meandering set of trails feauturing, well, wooded areas (of course) but also fields and a beautiful waterfront with a few picnic tables. It also connects to Gould Meadows to the West via the Tanglewood Connector Trail. Kudos to the SBA, Tanglewood and the Town of Stockbridge for preserving the entire northern portion of the Bowl and making its trails available to the public. It's open all year and it's a great place to bring your dog and is considered one of the best dog walking locales in the Berkshires. Finally, it's a great spot to see wildlife. I've had numerous fox sitings and deer of course, but my favorite was the beaver along the shores of the Bowl, which I captured in a photo below. There are also several bald eagles who nest here and are often seen circling far above or hanging out in the upper branches of an oak tree on the lake's shore. Fantastic."
