"The two-mile round trip Ice Glen Trail is a great experience for climbing boulders, but visitors must take care when navigating the rocky, often slippery trail."
"This is a great little gem of a trail that’s close to the center of Stockbridge. The boulders and old-growth trees really make it feel like a place frozen in time. There’s some light scrambling over some boulders in the middle section, but shouldn’t be challenging for most hikers. Just be aware that it’s not a flat trail the entire way and take caution when the rocks may be wet and slippery. There’s easily accessible — though limited — parking on one end that starts at Park Street and a few off-street spots on Ice Glen Road. It’s also nice to hike the trail from Park Street and then loop back by walking along the scenic Ice Glen Road to Route 7. There’s a sidewalk on one side of the bridge on Route 7, but you do need to cross the road to get to it, and Route 7 can be busy, but it’s not too bad."
